BOOKS ARE BACK ON TELLY!

Damian is hosting The Big Scottish Book Club, a new four-part Salon inspired series featuring the finest names in fiction, non-fiction and poetry - all filmed with a live audience on location in Scotland.

The first episode goes out at 10pm on Sunday 10th November on BBC Scotland https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07slz6n). You can watch BBC Scotland anywhere in the UK by tuning your set via Sky, Virgin Media, Freeview/YouView and Freesat. You can catch-up with the show on BBC iPlayer in all the usual ways.

Crime is the theme of the first show and our guests are Ian Rankin, reading from his latest Rebus; debut novelist Sara Collins with The Confessions of Frannie Langton; and writing duo Ambrose Parry, aka Chris Brookmyre and Marisa Haetzman. Poet Richard Scott completes our line-up, performing his work Dancing Bear.

This first episode comes from the stunning Inchyra Arts Club in Perthshire. Every week Damian steps out to meet a different book club - any excuse to talk books and have a nosey. For the first show Damian gets his boots on for a visit to Cupar and the Walk On walking-and-reading group.

Other names coming up in the series include: Maggie O’Farrell, Denise Mina, Inua Ellams, Marian Keyes, Graham Norton, David Nicholls and Chris McQueer.
